No Single Use Plastics in Bakewell Campaign

A Bloom member brought to our attention the harm plastic is having on our environment. Numerous plastic forks from local fish and chip shops are found on the street and in our river.

So we have decide to tackle this issue and are trying to encourage all eateries to stop the use of single use plastics such as straws and forks, and become the first town in the Peak District to go plastic straw free.

The town council hasn’t backed our campaign and Inspired Peak District.

This campaign will launch on Earth Day 22nd April 2018.

A dedicated twitter account has also been created @NoStrawBakewell
